We understand that as well as being one of the most useful tools to have, technology can also cause difficulties and problems along the way. At Whitehills School we want to support our children and their parents/ carers as much as possible during this uncertain time.
As a result, the school has established a digital support team. These are a group of staff members who are not digital experts, however, are willing to use their digital knowledge, skills and give up some of their time to support learning at home. This team should be contacted using the details below to support you with any issues that you (or your child) is having in relation to accessing Glow, or their Google Classroom. Whilst they may not have all the answers, the team will do everything they can to support you as much as they possibly can.

What will happen:
If the issue can be resolved at a school level, the digital support team will:
- Email you back with advice, guidance or a recommendation.
- Phone you to get more information about the issue or to speak you through a possible solution.
The preferred method will be to email back advice, guidance or a recommendation.
If the issue cannot be resolved at a school level, the digital support team will consult Aberdeenshire Council’s Glow coordinator on your behalf.
If the issue is not something which the school or the local authority can resolve at this moment in time, then we will inform you of this and the reasons why.
We hope you understand that this service does not provide 24 hours support nor is it an instant messaging service. If you email an issue to us, we will get back to you as soon as we possibly can. Our IT support team are also responsible for planning learning and teaching activities for their classes. The inbox will only be monitored between 9:00AM and 3:00PM (Monday to Friday).
