At Whitehills School, we promote respect, responsibility, independence and creativity in order to build confidence, increase motivation and establish a love of learning which will help prepare our pupils for their future life in the wider society.
Whitehills School is situated in the village of Whitehills, 3 miles west of Banff. The school was purpose built in 1977 and like many schools built around that time, it is open plan in design. The school has six teaching areas and we cater for children from Primary 1 – Primary 7. There is also a Nursery Unit within the school catering for up to 20 children, which operates a morning session from Monday to Friday during term time.
The school is non-denominational and the catchment area is the village of Whitehills and the surrounding rural area.
Teaching staff consists of: a non-class committed Head Teacher, six full time teachers and two part-time teachers. We are fortunate to have Visiting Teachers supporting areas of the curriculum each term.
In addition to teaching staff we have a team of non-teaching staff who also help to provide an excellent service within our school community. They are an Early Years Lead Practitioner, an Early Years Practitioner, three pupil support assistants, an Administrator, kitchen and cleaning
staff and Janitor.
